Suzuka Special 2004 - Emails to webmaster

Where were you when Senna nearly killed Prost?

Hai.

I was searching to read all I could about this incident for quite some time, and thank god I got the oppurtunity to read all about it, right here.

Where was I? Well, back in 1990, I was 13 years old, and back then we did not have F1 coverage in India. But I always used to read about it in papers. But then there was nothing which really explained all that had happened. But just last week, I saw this beautiful programme on the "Discovery" channel. The name of the programme was "Great Rivals". And the premier show was the one between Alain "The Greatest One" Prost and Ayrton "The Silly" Senna. And they showed very very graphically what really happened that dark day in Suzuka, blaming the whole shameful incident on Senna. And to top it, Murray Walker too talked about the same incident, squarely blaming Senna for that incident.

If I at India, could have seen all these programmes and footages, where the blame is squarely put on Senna...who do these senna fans think they are cheating by trying to justify all of Senna's antiques?

Well, I just hope all these so called Senna fans would stop their continued adoration for someone whose ethics on the track was always questionable. Like Alain himself said -- "The greatest risk is the one you control youreself"

But then come to think of it. All the Senna fans that I see posting their views online are all, invariably Brazilians, and Senna does not seem to enjoy a World-Wide fan base like the one the Great Alain Prost enjoys.
